I remember I had a lot of toys; action figures, dinosaurs, cars etc. I would spend hours making storylines up, big epic journeys around the house and out in the garden. Also, I had a lot of the old videos and rather than spending hours watching them, I would stack them up like Dominoes all around the house and then let it fly. I had a lot of them so I got creative, going down the stairs, cris-crossing and all that jazz. That was a lot of fun :P |

Lego! Also I was a crazy reader when I was younger, just sloughed through books. When I was 11 i finished lotr for the first time in a week ._.Had a few pokemon cards but never really got into them, much preferred to go out with my mates, playing soccer or swimming, and most of all going to the beach! Slowly got into a few computer games but never really had one i could use until my dad brought home hos old apple clam Even then ofc it was very limited. All I really had was AoE from my mates which I enjoyed immensely. The other game I remember was Myst, my best friend and I spent HOURS playing it! ![]() It was also cool when my dad came home with a PS1 for the weekend and I played crash bandicoot ![]() Apart from that mostly as a kid i remember inventing games with my friends, there was this show on tv for kids about a temple which was like a series of challenges people had to go through to get something so we tried making our own one and when it didn't work just imagined certain things were there instead Lots of silly games like that XD~Tim |

This is going to be very long. I'm a sucker for nostalgia. I often day dream about my younger years. It's always good to stop and think about how innocent life was back then. It was so much easier to entertain yourself back then as well. Before I got my Gameboy Colour I spent most of my time riding my bike everywhere with my friends. Climbing trees and making cubbies in them. God we were addicted to making cubbies. I was always climbing stuff. Houses, sheds, trees and almost anything imaginable. I was addicted to most of the popular cartoons and anime's back in the day. Pokemon - When I got my Gameboy Colour and Pokemon Red and Yellow is when my Pokemon obsession started. I played Red that much it isn't funny. I caught all the Pokemon except for Mew and all the Pokemon in my team were level 100. Fought the Elite Four over and over again (Probably hundreds of times). These days I get sick of fighting the Elite Four after about 4 times. This was all before I discovered the Missingno cheat. 99 rare candies or master balls My friend and I battled each other quite often. Same goes for my brother when he got old enough.Since Red I have owned Gold, Crystal, Ruby, Platinum, Soul Silver and White. Pokemon Stadium 1 and 2. Also Pokemon Snap was epic! I bought that many packets of cards I had hundreds and hundreds of them. I never battled with them, only collected them. I spent a huge majority of my childhood trading Pokemon cards. Ended up giving them all to my brother. I watched the show and the movies of course. The first 3 movies will always be the best. Digimon - My Digimon obsession was pretty similar to my Pokemon one. I had a pretty big collection of cards and I always watched the show when it was on. The Digimon movie is one of my all time favourite Anime movies. I don't think I owned any Digimon games but I did own a lot of those Digimon Tamagotchi things (Digivice I think they were called). I swear I bought every version. It was great joining your Digivice together with your friends to battle. If you didn't take good care of your Digimon it would evolve into someone weak Yu-Gi-Oh - The first time I saw Yu-Gi-Oh on T.V was at our old shack. I got out of bed to watch the morning cartoons and it was on. I found the opening credits to be pretty epic. From then on I was hooked. I bought a lot of cards and battled with them quite a lot. I still own quite a few cards, but they're all Dragon ones I think. I owned a couple of games on Gameboy as well. The Yu-Gi-Oh movie was pretty good as well. Beyblade - The Beyblade Anime was pretty great. Who would think that an Anime based on spinning tops with monsters in them would be so great. My favourite character was Kai and his bit beast and Beyblade Dranzer were my favourite as well. I owned a heap of Beyblades and a stadium. My friends, brother and I would battle with them quite a lot. We often battled with them in the bath tub. Not with water in it of course One time me and my brother were battling and my Beyblade hit his and just smashed into a heap of pieces. My brother thought he was quite strong after that lol. My friend also once cut a large circle out of metal and put it on his Beyblade. It was quickly confiscated by his parents because it was quite sharp Zoids - I loved Zoids while it lasted. I watched the show a lot. My friend won the whole first series on Video tape which made me quite jealous. I also bought and made a heap of Zoid figures. Other shows I loved were Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Captain Planet, Rockos Modern Life, Bump in the Night, Ren and Stimpy, Rugrats, Catdog, Ahh Real Monsters, Funnybones, the Ferals, Hey Arnold, Lift Off, Mr Squiggle, Art Attack, Round the Twist and Pingu. I'm sure there is more. EDIT: I forgot Power Rangers! God I loved that show. And Beast Wars. My huge video game life story will come later......... Edited by Lord Cooler, Jul 17 2011, 01:59 PM.

@Lord Cooler Pokemon was epic. I played Yellow over and over again. The first movie made me cry ;__; Digimon was a ripoff to me. Never got into enough to care. I watched most of the episodes, but just because they were on and I was a kid. Yugioh was epic, as I already said. Beyblade was great (the tops, not the show). I hated the show, but my friends and I "battled" all the time. If I remember right "Roller Defense" was the best. Not too sure about the show, but in real life this purple top rules the blacktop. Zoids was rated one of the worst anime shows ever. I took that as fact and never looked into it. Maybe I should try it when I'm bored. -Great Post LC |

Really? Wow. I guess it would depend on which series you watch. If you ever do watch it I suggest watching Zoids: New Century Zero. I have only seen it and Chaotic Century but New Century is the best of the two. On another note. God I love Beyblades opening theme. Edited by Lord Cooler, Jul 17 2011, 01:41 PM.

Catching....snakes? What. Where do you live btw? Or where did you live then? Me and 1 of my friends used to look at bugs off the brick wall in front of my house, and 1 time we put a ladybird in a sweet tin, and he stabbed air holes into it(my mum gave him the knife instead of me?). Anyway we tried to see if it could swim in the end, and it stuggled, and then couldnt fly :( . Eventually I think it died. |

I lived in florida from age 4-9. It was pretty woodsy, plus I was so small that everything also seemed like a jungle. Me and my neighborhood friends went everywhere behind the houses and through these secret little rivers and creeks we found. ' Also, Zoids rules. |
